The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) presented its 2020 State of the Art Civil Engineering Award to the editors of Computational Fluid Dynamics: Applications in Water, Wastewater and Stormwater Treatment, which ASCE published last year.
Among the contributors to the book was Sri Pathapati, Ph.D., Director-Research and Development for Mazzei Injector Company in Bakersfield, California, who wrote five of
the book's chapters including one on the all-important topic of CFD model verification and validation. As Mazzei's head of R&D, Pathapati leads the company's highly active CFD and product development program.

Sri is also the recipient of the 2013 Rudolph Hering medal from ASCE for his CFD work in environmental engineering.
Pathapati will be sharing his insights on CFD modeling in several presentations this summer, including a June 23rd webinar for the International Ozone Association's Pan-American Group and a presentation to the WateReuse California Virtual Conference on June 24.
