BOT Water/Wastewater Re-Use Project Announced For Yuanping City

Beijing — On Monday March 31, 2008, Mr. Marcel Boekhoorn, President and majority shareholder of the Sino Dutch Water Investment Group Ltd., and the mayor of Yuanping city, signed the contractual documents for the BOT wastewater and water re-use project in Yuanping city, Shanxi Province.

The project covers the renovation of a 50,000 M3/day wastewater treatment plant and the construction of a 50,000 m3/day water re-use plant with an investment value of approximately 120 million RMB (approximately 17 million US$). As part of the contract, Sino-Dutch has acquired the concession rights for a 30 year period to treat the wastewater of Yuanping city and to provide recycled high quality process water to the Shanxi Luneng aluminum factory.

The Sino-Dutch Water Investment Group was established by Ramphastos N.V., the private equity firm of Mr. Marcel Boekhoorn, the Rabo Bank, one of the largest international commercial banks from the Netherlands and Greentech Engineering Co. Ltd., specialized water engineering solution provider based in Beijing, China.

Sino-Dutch develops and invests in BOT and long term Concession contracts for water recycling and water re-use projects. The Sino Dutch business model is based on establishing strong partnerships with local Government entities that own water resources or have a wastewater treatment obligation on the one hand and large water consuming industrial companies on the other hand.
