BioAlgaNyx: Bringing Sludge Management Into The 21st Century

Solids handling represents a significant portion of capital and operating expenses for wastewater treatment plants. Tank volumes and hauling expenses are the biggest contributors. Ovivo has specially developed phagotrophic algae for aerobic digestion, anaerobic digestion and sludge holding tanks. There are many client advantages from a 50-75% reduction in tank volumes to achieve Class B biosolids to a 20-30% increase in volatile solids destruction. The technology also lowers hauling costs and can easily be retrofitted into existing systems.
