AWWA & ASDWA Release New PFAS Treatment Framework

On Monday, April 21, The American Water Works Association (AWWA) and ASDWA released its PFAS Treatment Evaluation: Framework for Approaching Permit Plan Approval. AWWA and ASDWA members collaborated with the team at Black & Veatch to develop a framework that will help systems evaluate their PFAS challenges and compliance options. The framework compiles disparate science about PFAS treatment and best practices for piloting treatment to inform the drinking water sector on the best practices for streamlining the permit approval process.
