Avista Technologies Celebrates 15th Year, Reflects On Industry-Changing Innovations And Looks Towards Increased Global Expansion

Avista Technologies is celebrating their 15th year as a globally recognized and trusted supplier of water treatment chemicals and expert process support for membrane systems. Since opening their doors in May 1999, Avista has established a leadership role as an industry innovator and generated industry awareness on the intrinsic value of chemicals formulated specifically for membrane processes.

As an international leader, Avista’s forward-thinking products and services have helped operators conserve water by increasing system efficiencies and improve resource sustainability in all areas of the world. Over the past 15 years, Avista’s growth has been supported by the expansion of services into emerging global markets with highly challenging water sources. Avista currently distributes products around the world through regional offices and a network of qualified distributors.

Dave Walker, President of Avista noted that “when we started Avista, our goal was to be the leader in specialty chemicals specifically for membrane applications.  As we look back at our successes over the past 15 years, we can see that we’ve set a pretty high bar that we hope will benefit the water treatment industry as a whole.”  Karen Lindsey, VP of Operations, added that “our focus is to provide innovative products and technical expertise that help our customers save money through increased operational and resource efficiencies.”

Some of Avista’s most noted accomplishments include the development of products specifically formulated for highly stressed feedwaters, cleaners for MF/UF membranes, tailored chemicals for unique applications, Chromatic Elemental Imaging (CEI), and the Avista Black Box, a system optimization tool.  Eco-Friendly Green Chemistries have also been recently introduced to provide antiscalants and cleaners that achieve superior results in sites with strict discharge restrictions.

Avista remains dedicated to continuing their leadership role by providing the rapidly expanding water treatment industry with sustainable and effective membrane solutions. Look for more technology breakthroughs in the near future.
