Avista Technologies' Doug Eisberg Receives AMTA Presidential Award At AWWA/AMTA Conference

Avista Technologies, a globally recognized and trusted supplier of water treatment chemicals and expert process support for membrane systems, has announced that Doug Eisberg, Director of Business Development and water treatment applications veteran has received an AMTA Presidential Award. The award was presented to Eisberg during the 2014 AWWA/AMTA MTC in recognition of his time and commitment on behalf of the American Membrane Technology Association “Chats with the Pioneers” program. The Chats is a historic video series developed to preserve the valuable personal insights of the founders of the membrane industry for future generations.

“The AMTA Presidential Award is an honor not just for me, but for the entire Avista Technologies team,” said Eisberg. “I would like to thank AMTA for this humbling recognition and thank Avista for allowing me to dedicate a portion of my time to this important endeavor. Now that this project is complete, I look forward to helping advance membrane technology for others to document years from now.

As a leader in the membrane technology industry, Eisberg currently serves as the Chairman of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section X Committee. He is also an active Director of the American Membrane Technology Association (AMTA) and serves as a board member for the International Desalination Association (IDA).

During the recently completed AWWA/AMTA 2014 Membrane Technology joint conference and exposition, Avista hosted over 300 industry executives during a private reception that highlighted The Black Box. The Black Box is Avista’s proprietary, self-contained, spiral-wound membrane sampling device used to conduct system troubleshooting without sacrificing a full membrane for autopsy or interrupting system operation.
