Automated Grit Blasting Unit

Using the 20D automatic vacuum-blast equipment, TMI Coatings can remove lead-based paint from horizontal steel surfaces (floors and roofs) on above ground storage tanks.

The speed of the 20D allows TMI to complete surface preparation up to ten times faster than conventional methods, allowing owners to place their tanks into service faster.

The self-contained dust collector provides the virtually dust free removal of all coatings, including lead-based paint from steel substrates. This application is perfect for projects involving the removal of lead-based paints on water storage reservoirs, standpipes, petroleum tanks, and any flat bottom, steel, above ground storage tank.
