Aquifer Test for Windows

The familiar Windows-based environment of AquiferTest makes it easy to operate, even for first-time users. Handling of the various functions of AquiferTest is facilitated by intuitive icons and comprehensive on-line help instructions. Pumping test or slug test data can be entered into AquiferTest by cutting-and-pasting columns of data from a Windows spreadsheet, direct tabular input with instructional pop-up windows, or importing ASCII data files directly from a data logger. AquiferTest contains a complete set of analytical solutions for estimating the transmissivity, hydraulic conductivity, and storage properties for confined, unconfined and fractured rock aquifers. The slug test analysis methods include the popular Hvorslev and Bouwer-Rice methods, while the pumping test analysis methods include; Theis; Cooper-Jacob; Neuman; Hantush; Moench (unconfined); Moench (fracture flow); Well Performance Tests; Step-Test Analysis; and Recovery Analysis (Theis-Jacob). The aquifer parameters are obtained in AquiferTest by matching type curves or by fitting straight lines to the drawdown data points. Automatic curve matching and manual curve matching capabilities are provided in AquiferTest for Windows.
