The 60" and 66” Mueller® Resilient Wedge Gate Valve offers reduced operating torque and superior resistance to wear and tear that can reduce the performance. With extra-long, bronze wedge guides, the gate slides easily within body channels, supporting and maintaining alignment of the wedge for smooth operation.
The specially shaped rubber along the bottom edge of the wedge takes advantage of line pressure to augment the torque on the stem and ensure a leak-tight seal. This avoids crushing the rubber and reduces stress on the stem. When installed horizontally there is no need for rollers, tracks or scrapers.
The valve meets or exceeds all applicable requirements of ANSI/AWWA C515 Standard and certified to NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 and/or 372.
