AMTA Announces Joint Efforts With WateReuse Association And WEF In Promoting Membrane Technologies
The American Membrane Technology Association (AMTA) is pleased to announce two new cooperative agreements with the WateReuse Association and the Water Environment Federation (WEF) that will expand the promotion of membrane technologies and applications. As all three organizations work with their members to secure plentiful supplies of high quality, sustainable water across the United States, the new agreements allow AMTA to offer specific expertise related to membrane processes to new and wider audiences within WateReuse and WEF.
AMTA recognizes the unique value that WateReuse and WEF bring to their respective memberships and the collaboration outlined under the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed with both organizations will further strengthen AMTA’s voice and influence in addressing legislative and regulatory challenges within the industry. AMTA also has the opportunity to offer membrane technology and application expertise to the broader WateReuse and WEF audiences that may not yet recognize the cost, productivity, and performance benefits of membrane systems. The MOU’s provide a framework toward these goals and include:
- Cooperation and collaborative communication at the national level and development of communications at the local level
- Exploring cooperation on joint programs and projects
- Collaboration on the advancements of membrane technology within the industry
Introducing membrane technology to an expanded audience and promoting the advantages of membranes and related systems to the reuse and industrial markets is a real benefit to AMTA members and members of AMTA affiliates. In return, WateReuse and WEF will take advantage of AMTA’s expertise and networking connections to strengthen their own technical conferences and programs.
