AMRA Releases Products and Services Directory

The 10th edition of the Automatic Meter Reading Association (AMRA)'s Products & Services Directory, a compilation of automatic meter reading (AMR) manufacturers and service providers, is now available.

AMRA publishes the directory annually to provide members of the utility-service industry with detailed descriptions of the equipment, components and services available from the leading vendors in advanced metering and communications industry. Directory listings include descriptions of companies, an overview of the products and services they provide, and the features and applications of systems and system components.

The directory includes a supplier index that allows utilities to quickly determine which vendors can best meet their needs. The index provides a checklist of:

• Communication system types used, including telephone dial-inbound, dial-outbound, radio, mobile radio, fixed network radio, power line, cable, cellular, satellite, LAN and hybrid.
• Services provided, including consulting, installation, submetering and turnkey offerings.
• Applicability of system or service for electric, gas and water utilities.
• Components offered, including meter interface units, meters, encoders, adapters, remote terminal units, modems and software.

AMRA members can receives a complimentary copy of the Products & Services Directory and can purchase additional copies at the special members-only fee of $25.
