American Water Offers Service Line Protection Program To Trenton Water Works Customers
Company's LineSaver Program Now Available to Over 58,000 Customers
Voorhees, NJ American Water, the largest water services provider in North America, has announced the availability of its LineSaver ™ Service Line Protection Program to customers of the Trenton Water Works. Following a Request for Proposal, American Water Resources, Inc., a subsidiary of American Water, was selected by the City of Trenton to make the program available. The LineSaver program will be available to over 58,000 Trenton Water Works customers who reside in the City of Trenton and in the outlying municipalities of Hamilton, Ewing, Lawrence and Hopewell in Mercer County.
Designed to protect homeowners from the cost of unexpected service line repairs, LineSaver is a solution for repairs that are neither the responsibility of the municipality's water department, nor covered by homeowner's insurance. At no cost to the municipality and at minimal cost to the customer, the experts at American Water Resources fully manage LineSaver, and take care of all requirements for developing and implementing the program - from establishing a local contractor network and providing customer service, to educating the community about service line ownership and responsibility.
"Those voluntarily enrolled in the LineSaver program will receive 24-hour customer service, leading to greater peace of mind at any time emergency service line repair needs might occur," said Sharon Cameron, president of American Water Resources.
The company believes that the LineSaver program will offer a variety of benefits to communities by reducing customer complaints related to service line issues, decreasing environmental stress associated with lost water, and stimulating the economy by using local plumbers to complete repairs. The program will rely on licensed, local Mercer County plumbers to perform the service line repair work.
"It is our great privilege to develop a customized protection program for the Trenton Water Works customers," said Don Correll, President and CEO of American Water. "American Water is committed to working with municipalities and helping them sustain a healthy, clean and safe water supply."
In addition to managing the LineSaver program for Trenton Water Works, American Water Resources also offers its service line protection programs to hundreds of thousands of residents in 13 states, and its In-Home Plumbing Emergency Program to residents in ten states.
The service line protection programs are offered through American Water Resources, Inc., a subsidiary of American Water. With headquarters in Voorhees, NJ, American Water employs approximately 7,000 dedicated professionals who provide high-quality water, wastewater and other related services to about 17 million people in 29 states and Canada.
