ALM-9 Pump Monitor

The ALM-9 provides audible, visual and dual-relay outputs in response to an alarm signal from one or more LMI A9, B9 or C9 Series metering pumps
AUTOMATICALLY SWITCH ON A BACKUP PUMP *AND* TRIGGER AN ALARM!

Northeast Pump & Instrument Co. (NPI) has developed a simple, low-cost solution for alerting users to pump failures. The ALM-9 provides audible, visual and dual-relay outputs in response to an alarm signal from one or more LMI A9, B9 or C9 Series metering pumps. These LMI pumps will generate an alarm signal if any of five different operating conditions are encountered. The alarm signal is carried to the ALM-9 from the pump and initiates a piezo-electric buzzer, large flashing red LED and energizes a DPDT relay.

The ALM-9 can be used to trigger a SCADA input or switch on a backup pump as well as other applications. The 4" X 4" X 2" unit has a NEMA 4X-type enclosure with 120 VAC input voltage, optical isolation between input signal and internal circuitry, green "power on" LED, flashing red "ALARM" LED, and internally-mounted piezo-electric audible alarm. The ALM-9 provides low-voltage signal wiring connectivity and is available with liquid-tight connections or PVC conduit connections.

According to Don Hollender, Superintendent of the Wayland, MA Water Department, "By providing me with their flow monitoring packages, made up of the LMI Digi-Pulse flow sensors and NPI's ALM pump monitors, I am able to verify that I'm actually delivering KOH and fluoride at the well stations. This is a nice backup to my pH and fluoride monitoring equipment."

The ALM-9 is part of NPI's family of ALM products designed to alert users to pump failures.
