Vertical Bar Screen Solution-Naples, Florida Project Profile

As a coastal City, Naples, Florida with low elevation, substantial build-out and ongoing redevelopment activities, excessive stormwater runoff during large storm events is a major cause of damaging floods and degradation of City’s waterways. As a solution to this problem, the City undertook an improvement project in 2008 to increase the capacity of its Cove Stormwater Pumping Station. The design included a mechanical screen ahead of the pumping station to replace the existing static bar rack.
