ESL Power Systems, Inc. has introduced StormSwitch™, a line of ready-to-install commercial manual transfer switches engineered to provide safe and easy portable generator hook-up to lifts or pump stations when utility power is out.

Once professionally installed by an electrician, StormSwitch™ provides a new level of preparedness for any facility. During a power outage, StormSwitch™ makes it simple and safe to plug in the lift or pump station to a portable generator. The StormSwitch™ solution is a fraction of the cost of a permanent onsite back-up power generator system and requires no maintenance.

StormSwitch™ combines a robust industrial-grade transfer switch with color-coded cam-style connectors for quick connection to a portable power generator. Integral utility and generator manual disconnects are interlocked to prevent cross connecting the power sources. The disconnects are factory wired and can be supplied as either molded case circuit breakers or switches. In addition, the unit features a safety-interlocked door, dead-front panel, and protection from unauthorized access.

The StormSwitch™ is UL Listed as a Manual Transfer Switch under UL 1008, complying with NEC Article 702 requirements for optional standby systems. The StormSwitch™ is available in 200A, 400A, and 600A versions with 1P, 3P, 3P+N configurations for voltages up to 600VAC.

Additionally, ESL offers the TripleSwitch™ for permanent standby generator applications. TripleSwitch™ is intended to simplify the hook-up of a load bank for testing of standby generators while safely isolating the facility and backup circuits.
