WSP USA Acquires LT Environmental

Acquisition adds 140 employees to WSP USA’s water and environment sector in the Rocky Mountain region.

LT Environmental (LTE), a U.S.-based environmental consulting firm, has been acquired by WSP USA, a leading engineering and professional services consultancy.

The acquisition is aligned with WSP’s 2019-2021 Global Strategy and expands the firm’s geographic footprint in the West. LTE is based in Denver, with offices in Texas, New Mexico, North Dakota, Utah and Wyoming.

LTE offers deep expertise in site investigation, remediation, water resources, air quality, and chemical and materials management. The firm supports clients in the midstream oil and gas, real estate development, transportation, public utility, construction and manufacturing sectors, in addition to state and municipal agencies in the Western U.S.

“Adding LTE’s talented experts and service expertise to WSP will enable us to fulfill our strategic ambitions in the Rocky Mountain West region, while solidifying our national offering in the water and environment sector,” said Lou Cornell, president and chief executive officer of WSP USA.

“Becoming a member of WSP is great news for our company and employees,” added Tom Murphy, LTE’s president and chief executive officer. “By joining WSP, we will significantly strengthen our competitive position, while providing us with access to a global network and the expertise of one of the leading firms in the industry.”

WSP is a leading provider of services to the water and environment sector, providing a range of services to help clients manage and balance clean and safe water supply, develop resilient water infrastructure, provide for sustainable environments and healthy ecosystems, and integrate smart technologies and innovative solutions to improve program efficiencies.

The firm’s projects include the U.S. Coast Guard Headquarters Brownfield Restoration in Washington, D.C., the C-44 Reservoir/Stormwater Treatment Area project in the Florida Everglades, the Missouri River Ecosystem Restoration Plan and the Sterling Natural Resource Center treatment plant in San Bernardino, California.
