The UV system installed at the Lucas County Water Resource Recovery Facility includes a total of four banks, with 48 UV lamps per, for a total of 192. The facility was experiencing treatment inefficiencies and, even after repeated inspection and analysis, staff couldn’t figure out why. They started to question if the issues were stemming from the use of non-OEM, non-genuine UV lamps, quartz sleeves, and ballasts.

The facility’s manager decided to call Trojan’s Technical Assistance Center for help.
