VRTX Unveils New Full Service Agreement

VRTX Technologies is now offering the VRTX Full Service Agreement at a fixed price for a minimum of five years for customers in North America and Europe.

VRTX is the first in the non-chemical cooling water treatment industry to offer a fixed price for monthly treatment. As a solution for facilities accustomed to paying monthly for chemical cooling water treatment, the Full Service Agreement (FSA) will provide all necessary equipment and filtration, installation, monthly service, periodic mechanical service and a continuing mechanical warranty for a minimum of five years. VRTX also offers the only non-chemical water treatment service with a performance guarantee of the system.

With a fixed cost, chemical-free service facilities with cooling towers and evaporative condensers can eliminate the surcharges and container fees added to the already doubled chemical prices. Recent pricing for phosphonates and phosphates, the base ingredients for scale inhibitors, have jumped 50 to 100 percent. Many chemical manufacturers are doubling the price tag for sodium hexametaphosphate, which is used in corrosion inhibitors. Sulfuric acid has also doubled in price in the last year.

In addition, the same facilities can eliminate the need for environmental safeguarding, employee training programs and special permits, while also improving the employee work environment.

"VRTX continues to be an innovative alternative to chemicals with the extension of the Full Service Agreement," said VRTX Chief Executive Officer, David Nicholas. "Our chemical-free technology and FSA are the first to provide companies a set price with a guarantee without the surcharges and add-on costs every month."

VRTX Technologies, a Schertz, Texas-based fluid technology company, specializes in environmentally-friendly chemical free treatment of water used in cooling towers and evaporative condensers. The VRTX system relies on kinetic energy, hydrodynamic cavitation, and chemical equilibrium to control scale, corrosion, and bio-fouling without the hazards of chemical treatment. VRTX also minimizes corrosion and microbiological growth, reduces system operating costs, and conserves water and energy. Studies show that a typical VRTX-treated cooling tower system could see annual potable water savings of nearly 1 million gallons.
