Vivendi Sells Metcalf & Eddy to AeCOM

AeCOM Technology Corporation of Los Angeles, CA has acquired 100% of the outstanding stock of environmental engineering company Metcalf & Eddy of Wakefield, MA from Vivendi Water.

The price was not disclosed.

Metcalf & Eddy first won national recognition early in the 1900s, when it pioneered what would become "environmental engineering" through its water and wastewater work. Today, the firm is widely diversified in water and wastewater management, solid and hazardous waste management, remediation, environmental quality, pollution prevention, air pollution control, and institutional strengthening.

AeCOM is the holding company for nine engineering and architectural firms, which participate in the transportation, environmental, public facilities and commercial markets worldwide.
