Veolia Joins The SWAN Forum To Promote The Smart Water Value Of Digital-As-A-Service

Veolia Water Technologies, a subsidiary of the Veolia group, is a world leader in designing and deploying drinking water and wastewater treatment plants and digital management systems for industrial and municipal customers. In a move to solidify their global digital presence, Veolia announced their membership in the Smart Water Networks Forum (SWAN), the leading global hub for the smart water and wastewater sectors. As a member of the SWAN Forum, Veolia will join global water leaders from utilities, regulators, solution providers, engineering firms, and academia, and will contribute to identifying and solving important water challenges. Further, joining SWAN’s global network provides Veolia with ample opportunities to share their proven digitally-driven water solutions with the global water industry.

Two years ago, Veolia adopted a new digital offering to support the end-to-end customer experience and provide a new service offer for their clients regardless of the process, the industry and the geography. Their system, called AQUAVISTA™, a Hubgrade solution, is the result of co-creation development with end-users as a flexible, modular, customer centric and cloud-based solution for water resource management. According to Veolia Water Technologies’ Chief Digital Officer, Aude Giard: "Embedding Digital natively into our Technologies enables us to provide more value to our customers in the long term. Thanks to AQUAVISTA, we bring them more transparency, insights and real time optimisation on their water operations, as well as an instantaneous access to Veolia worldwide network of expertise. Our goal is to better support them in their business challenges as well as in their long term sustainability commitments.”

Commenting on the exciting new member news, Amir Cahn, Executive Director of the SWAN Forum, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Veolia, a recognised smart water leader, to the global smart water hub. Their focus on the voice of the customer and contributions to the digital twin agenda demonstrates our shared commitments to creating and delivering value in the water industry and accelerating smart water solutions.”

The role of the SWAN Forum in providing a platform for the exchange of experiences in developing and implementing smart water solutions, is a great catalyst to promote innovation in business process improvement and customer satisfaction, an increasing focus area for Veolia and its subsidiaries.
