UV Disinfection And Dechlorination At Cottonseed Processing Facility In Texas
Source: Atlantium Technologies Ltd.

The Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) made a significant investment in their cottonseed processing facility in Lubbock, Texas, by installing a UV disinfection system. This system, provided by Atlantium, is aimed at preventing biofouling in their reverse osmosis (RO) membrane filtration system.
Biofouling, the accumulation of biological material on surfaces, is a common issue in water treatment systems. It can lead to reduced efficiency, increased maintenance costs, and even system failure. By implementing the UV disinfection system, ADM aims to protect their RO membrane elements from biological fouling and chlorine oxidation.
