U.S. Filter Makes New Acquisitions
<%=company%> markets patented products for wastewater treatment systems that combine sequencing batch reactors (SBRs) with high-efficiency air diffusion. Another system is the autothermal thermophilic aerobic digester (ATAD) which is used to condition sludge for disposal in landfills or for land application. The product line is seen as complementary to that of U.S. Filter, which has grown in recent years to a company offering many technical choices to the water and wastewater industry. As well as providing its manufacturing capabilities, Jet Tech will bring to its parent a strong manufacturers representative and distribution network.
In addition to its water and wastewater treatment manufacturing and supply businesses, U.S. Filter also operates water and wastewater systems, and has expertise in high purity water treatment systems. A second recent acquisition falls into the latter category. Continental Water Systems Northwest, with facilities in Auburn, Washington, specializes in high purity water products and distributes them widely in the northwest. A major customer group is made up of companies in the electronics industry, which require high resistivity water for their manufacturing processes. Continental serves about 900 customers in all in five states, including Alaska, and also operates a deionizing resin regeneration plant in Vancouver, Washington. The firm has been a franchised dealer of U.S. Filter for some years.
