The Challenges of Obsolescence and Aging Equipment

The latest features of the TrojanUV3000Plus were engineered to provide municipalities dealing with obsolescence and aging equipment more options and simplified ways to work through those challenges. Depending on the age and condition of your existing TrojanUV3000Plus, you could consider a full system replacement or core component upgrades.

Full System Replacement:  The most evident signs that your existing TrojanUV3000Plus system might need replacing can be observed through inspection of your system. Visible wear and tear and corrosion of vital system components are signs to look for. Or, if you notice that more time is being spent servicing the system than in the past. There comes a point at which plants can save time, money, and effort by replacing their entire system.

Core Component Upgrades: Plants may be able to avoid a full system replacement and extend the life of their existing TrojanUV3000Plus by upgrading core components. This allows plants to take advantage of the latest features while scheduling upgrades at their preferred timing and as their budget allows. You may find that small investments into your system can result in long-term cost savings.

Benefits of a Replacement or Upgrade Solution

Like-for-Like Replacements: Construction and engineering for design and installation of a new UV system account for the large majority of cost when purchasing a UV system. When treatment needs are similar, you can keep your existing infrastructure and choose a direct like-for-like replacement at a fraction of the cost of building new.

Latest Technology and Parts: UV parts — particularly electronics — in your UV system have evolved quickly over the past decade and many original components may be phased out and no longer available. Reduce the potential for unplanned downtime and meet treatment compliance with newer parts that are available now and into the future.

Warranty Renewal: Replacing or upgrading to the latest TrojanUV3000Plus features comes with Trojan’s one-year full system warranty.

Stand-Alone Upgrade Components: The electrical and mechanical components supporting the core UV module are now designed to be stand-alone. This allows you to consider upgrading these components independent of others to facilitate individual budget and timeline considerations.
