Trojan Technologies Will Provide the City of Atlanta with Another Ultraviolet Disinfection System

N/Aany%> has been awarded a contract to supply an ultraviolet disinfection system worth C$4.5 million to the City of Atlanta, GA. The Trojan UV40007m system will be installed at the R.M. Clayton wastewater treatment facility and will disinfect a combined flow of up to 222 million gallons per day. Shipment of this system is expected during fiscal year 1998.

This is the third contract to be awarded to Trojan for a UV400OTM system for the City of Atlanta. Prior contracts for UV systems for the Utoy Creek and South River facilities are also expected to be delivered during fiscal year 1998. The combined treatment capacity of the three systems in Atlanta will be 391 million gallons per day.

According to Trojan Executive Vice President Marvin DeVries, the total combined value of the three projects is approximately C$9.2 million. These projects represent a commitment by the City of Atlanta and a benchmark in the shift by large municipalities away from the use of chlorine.
