The Sabrex Electronic Water Purification System

THE SABREX ELECTRONIC WATER PURIFIER SYSTEM is a patented technology which electronically removes dissolved solids from any water or wastewater
THE SABREX ELECTRONIC WATER PURIFIER SYSTEM is a patented technology which electronically removes dissolved solids from any water or wastewater. It is a much more efficient, but less costly, replacement for traditional methods of water purification and deionization involving membranes, filters and ion exchange. It is particularly applicable today as TDS levels frequently exceed 2,500 PPM, and more hazardous chemicals are often involved. Government standards for water purity increase yearly and requirements for recycling and reuse of water are more important than ever. Water for potable consumption is becoming increasingly scarce and increasingly water from less than pristine sources must be purified to meet demands.

THE SABREX EWP SYSTEM uses a DC power source. As water flows through the unit, metals and minerals are continuously attracted to electrodes of opposite polarity thus removing them from the source water or wastewater. When the carbon fibre electrodes become "loaded" with removed material, they are automatically shorted out releasing the metals/minerals to be washed off into a removal line. Up to 95 % of dissolved solids in any water source may be removed and/or recycled.
One big advantage of the SABREX EWP SYSTEM is that it works efficiently regardless of the quality or composition of the water going through the system. Because it is electronically removing only metals and minerals, it does not matter what other contaminants may be in the water/wastewater stream.

Applications of this system include, but are not limited to: rinse water baths; recycling/reuse such as in plating operations; cooling tower water; clarifier effluent and recycle; boiler feed water; humidifiers; hot water heaters; chillers; drinking water; purifying brackish water; metal machining – metallic waste as well as water soluable lubricants; cleaning – dilution water for surfactants; spot free rinse water; paint spraying and coating; RO reject; water remediation projects; in treating landfill leachate and, even in nuclear waste applications.

Capacities are from 1 gallon/min. to thousands of gallons /min. and even greater flows are readily accommodated since the units are modular and, more units can be used as required. The contaminants removed remain in their original chemical form, but in the discharge their concentration is increased from 5 to 10 times.
