The RJ-2000 Emergency Vapor Scrubber System Series

The RJ-2000 Emergency Vapor Scrubber System Series sets the standard for emergency vapor treatment in the water and wastewater industries. The RJ-2000-Bulk is a patented, multi-stage wet scrubber system that is uniquely designed to handle extreme gas release rates and to achiever exceptional removal efficiencies. All systems are manufactured from the highest quality components and materials including premium vinylester FRP construction. Each RJ-2000-Bulk system is factory assembled and mechanically tested prior to shipment. The scrubber attaches t a flange on the top of the caustic storage tank, and operates similar to the RJ-2000 system, with the difference that a much larger quantity of caustic is provided to react with the larger volume of gas. The RJ-2000-Bulk process uses concentrated sodium hydroxide (caustic) solution to react with chlorine and/or sulfur dioxide gas in a three stage packed bed scrubber system. Air flow rates are typically 3,000 to 5,000 cfm depending on the room volume to be evacuated. The system is normally in a stand-by mode, ready to respond if a gas leak occurs. An optional secondary containment, sump heater and insulation, and automatic backup pump can be provided if needed.
