The Jensen Precast And CON/SPAN® Bridge Systems Alliance

Dayton, OH -- Jensen Precast and CON/SPAN® Bridge Systems are pleased to announce their alliance to promote the expansion of the Stormvault™ Mitigation System.
The CON/SPAN® team will lead the national development of Stormvault™ by providing technical and marketing expertise to bring Jensen Precast's rapidly growing business in the western United States to the rest of the country. CON/SPAN®'s network of providers includes BridgeTek, CSI, Egyptian Concrete Products, The Premarc Corporation, U.P. Pipe, and Walker Industries. With this network of providers already in place, the Stormvault™ system will be immediately available throughout the United States.
In 1998, Jensen Precast, a 35-year old manufacturer of precast concrete products for underground utilities and drainage systems, contracted with renowned consultants, engineering firms and universities to design the optimal vault for present and future stormwater mitigation needs. The result of this collaboration was Stormvault™, a patented stormwater mitigation system. Jensen Precast's design concept results in a Best Available Technology (BAT) with proven pollution reduction comparable to high quality "natural treatment" systems as listed on the EPA stormwater database with few of the disadvantages such as extensive surface area requirements, possible thermal pollution, and long-term maintenance access and disposal concerns. The Water Quality Capture Volume (WQCV) sizing methodology is based upon recommendations of two of the most prominent civil engineering professional associations the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the Water Environment Federation (WEF).
CON/SPAN® Bridge Systems is a team of engineers based in Dayton, OH with regional offices in Charlotte, NC, Sacramento, CA and upstate NY. CON/SPAN® Bridge Systems holds several patents for three-sided precast structures used for bridges, culverts and underground structures. CON/SPAN®'s international network of local providers assists the local design community in their effort to specify the CON/SPAN® Bridge System as a solution for their bridge, culvert and underground structure needs.
Tony Shanks, COO of Jensen Precast states, "Jensen Precast is thrilled to be associated with CON/SPAN® Bridge Systems. CON/SPAN®'s national recognition and their network providers' 18 years of experience in supporting consulting engineers gives Stormvault™ access to a nation-wide market.
