Systems & Software, Inc. announces launch of latest product, enQuesta

Systems & Software, Inc., a leading provider of comprehensive information management solutions for the utility industry, announced recently that it will launch enQuesta, a customizable enterprise software suite designed with an emphasis on exceptional operational efficiency and proactive customer care. enQuesta fully integrates a Customer Information System (CIS), Work Management, Asset Control, and a Financial Management System (FMS) with user-friendly graphical and browser interfaces.

For nearly 30 years, S&S has focused exclusively on providing outstanding, integrated solutions to its customers in the utility industry. As the newest member of the UtilitySuite family of products, enQuesta builds upon the strong foundation of Municipal & Utility Package Software (MUPS) and MUPS Graphical Client (GC). UtilitySuite products are currently installed at water, electric, and gas utilities across the United States.

"enQuesta anticipates a utility software suite that not only incorporates the unparalleled enterprise functionality that current MUPS GC customers enjoy, but builds upon it by introducing a technology architecture and a user experience that will surpass other such systems," said Burt Willey, President of S&S. "We are confident that, with it, our customers can take their utility to new heights."

enQuesta offers improved functionality and usability to maximize operational efficiency. It incorporates an Oracle production environment, application enhancements, and independent Work Order Costing and Equipment Maintenance Scheduling modules. Additionally, the enQuesta Decision Support Solution (DSS) for Oracle provides a data warehousing environment to give utilities the power to use accurate, reliable data for business critical insight, understanding, and action.

Leading-edge technology is incorporated into enQuesta's dynamic Advanced Customer Care solutions, which extend the boundaries of customer relationship management (CRM). Developed with S&S's business partner, Frank Solutions, PhoneTouch (an interactive voice response product) and WebTouch (a web interface), allow utility customers to access account information, receive and pay bills, and request work orders for new or existing service around-the-clock. Document imaging, customized in a partnership with 1MAGE, assists in scanning, storage, and retrieval of written documents.

"enQuesta's N-tiered architecture means that the software aspires to exceptional levels of scalability, sustainability, and reliability," said Bob Flaherty, Director of IT at S&S. "The implementation of enQuesta will help S&S preserve and enhance our reputation of applying industry-leading functionality to better manage the everyday challenges of running a utility."

The S&S solution includes its hallmark turnkey implementation methodology, honed over nearly three decades of utility-specific installations and a commitment to deliver every project on time and within budget. S&S takes full responsibility for managing the product, from the initial Executive Strategy and Needs Analysis meeting to ongoing software maintenance and support including hardware ordering and installation, data conversion, on-site training, and so forth. This support is provided by systems analysts whose many years of experience in the utility marketplace give them the ability to handle problems quickly and efficiently.

"One important piece that will remain front and center is our time-proven team approach to installations," explained Willey. "Our partnership with our customers is the most fundamental part of our day-to-day business operations. It is also the most satisfying and rewarding."

enQuesta is currently in advanced stages of development and will be available to go-live in a customer site during 2002.
