Parsippany, NJ – Sun Chemical’s Advanced Materials division is pleased to announce that it now delivers SEPAREL® hollow fiber membrane modules from its parent company, the DIC Corporation, for a variety water degasification applications. As of 2016, Sun Chemical Advanced Materials proudly delivers proprietary DIC technology to its customers in the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Middle East.

SEPAREL hollow fiber membrane modules remove dissolved gases, such as Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide, in water to prevent the formation of rust and bubbles in a range of water treatment systems. Unlike traditional degasification systems, SEPAREL can achieve any parts-per-billion level using only vacuuming and without the need for Nitrogen (N2) sweep gas.

The size of each SEPAREL module is directly related to the flow rate, degassing performance, and pressure drop. Smaller versions of the SEPAREL modules can fit in a row within water treatment systems with smaller dimensions, while a water treatment plant, which has a higher flow rate and requires increased degassing performance, would require a larger membrane surface area to degas vast amounts of water—therefore requiring the SEPAREL EF-120 module, the largest size in the product line.

The SEPAREL EF-120 module is the pinnacle of membrane degasification technology which supports flow rates ranging from 3,000 to 50,000 liters per hour and delivers minimal pressure loss.
“Our customers want water treatment solutions that ensure their operations are efficient, reliable and strengthened by global technical support,” said Christine Medordi, Global Business

Development & Marketing Manager, Sun Chemical Advanced Materials. “Unlike conventional membrane modules, SEPAREL is developed and manufactured in-house to meet DIC’s high quality standards and exceed our customers’ expectations. By combining DIC technology and our global footprint, Sun Chemical Advanced Materials can provide superior products, distribution and technical support in the Americas, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.”
