Stormwater Credit Trading 101

Stormwater credit trading programs are a market-based option to allow property owners, typically subject to an on-site stormwater retention requirement or large drainage fees, to meet a portion of their requirements by buying stormwater “credits” from other property owners rather than building all needed green stormwater infrastructure on their own property.
