Our American-made DENSITRAK Liquid Density Meter has been used worldwide for more than 15 years in industries such as petrochemical, semiconductor and wastewater. The Challenge: Protecting our controls in wide-ranging conditions throughout the world.
A durable, easy-to-use enclosure is necessary to protect the controls of our DENSITRAK Liquid Density Meter by reliably housing four electronic circuit boards which control the density meter operation. These electronics consist of a customer interface PCB, amplifier/temperature transmitter PCB, density processor PCB and local LCD Display PC.
The Solution: Stahlin Non-Metallic Enclosures
Approximately, six years ago we became familiar with Stahlin Non-Metallic Enclosures because they were already used by the company that originally manufactured the DENSITRAK Liquid Density Meter. We benefitted from a documented history in which Stahlin's enclosures demonstrated a proven ability to remain watertight, thereby reliably protecting enclosed controls and instrumentation from potential damage by corrosion, various chemicals and fluids. Our decision to continue using a cost-competitive Stahlin fiberglass J604W enclosure was further supported by Stahlin's ability to accurately factory-modify our enclosures by removing the mounting feet as well as drilling holes for a cable gland connection and a HUB connector used to mount the box to a pipe nipple on the meter. Our enclosures arrive ready to use out of the box.
