Sonford Samplers
Sonford Company manufactures high quality composite samplers for industrial effluent and municipal raw sewage. The Sonford Model TC-3 is a flow-through, dipper type sampler designed for permanent installations and provides reliable hands-off performance, requiring only minimal cleaning and maintenance. The refrigeration unit for sample storage is UL Listed for safety and uses non-CFC R134a refrigerant. The condenser is fan cooled and the thermostat provides a temperature range from 1o to 7o C.
Flexible
The Sonford Model TC-3 is available as a Single, Dual or Triple Sampler. In the main cabinet there is space for one, two, or three reservoirs. This feature makes the sampler adaptable to changing plant needs. For example, a Single may be upgraded to a Dual or even a Triple. A non-expandable Solo is also available. This unit offers an economical choice where only a single waste stream will be sampled. Each model is also available in an Explosion-Proof version.
Accurate
The flow-through reservoir on the Sonford Model TC-3 is constructed of stainless steel and polished to a mirror-like finish. It is designed to create turbulence and mixing to prevent the settling and separation of solids in the waste stream. This assures that a representative sample will be taken each time.
Efficient
The Sonford Model TC-3 is equipped with a pneumatically operated sampling arm for each reservoir. At user programmed intervals, the solenoid valve is activated, extending the dipper assembly into the flow-through reservoir. When the valve is de-energized, the dipper retracts and empties its contents into the funnel beside the reservoir, where it is conveyed by gravity into the refrigerator.
East to clean
All wetted parts of the Sonford Model TC-3 sampler are polished stainless steel. The funnels are easily removed from the main section of the sampler for cleaning. The reservoirs can be scrubbed with a soft bristle brush.
Automatic
The microprocessor based control system for the Sonford Model TC-3 is fully programmable. It provides flow proportional or timed interval sampling. The electronics are housed in a NEMA 4 rated enclosure to protect against the environments normally encountered in municipal and industrial plants.
