Sniffer Dogs Now Being Used To Detect Water Main Leaks

Sniffer dogs have been used for a while in the oil and gas industry to find leaks. But recently, dogs have begun to be used to find leaks in water mains.
United Utilities, a water company that covers the North West of England, has begun using Snipe, a 16-month old Cocker Spaniel stray rescued in Ireland to help pinpoint leaks in rural areas where the water does not typically show on the surface.
