Siemens Water Technologies Introduces The Apex™ Water Purification System

Warrendale, PA — The Water Technology division of Siemens's Industrial Solutions and Services (I&S) Group has introduced the Apex™ system as a quick and easy solution to customers' high-purity water needs. Specially designed for pharmaceutical and other high-purity applications, the Apex system is a modular, totally integrated and automated purified water system on a single, compact skid. The system's innovative design reduces operating costs, and a comprehensive validation documentation package makes validation much simpler.

"The Apex system simplifies the whole water production process by providing customers with a pre-specified, easily validated make-up-water-treatment-system package," says Doug O'Halloran, Apex product manager. "The benefits to our customers include a savings in valuable floor space and reduced installation, start-up and validation time. This lowers their overall project costs."

Other features of the Apex system include: a panel-mounted, color touch screen, human machine interface; push-button automatic hot-water sanitization that reduces operating costs and saves water; cGMP design and construction for optimum quality; and seven flexible size configurations with nominal flow rates from two to 25 gallons per minute (7.6 to 95 liters per minute).
