Brochure: PAD® Processes

Source: Ovivo

The PAD® process (Pre-thickened Aerobic Digestion) is a controlled aerobic digestion system specifically designed to handle thickened sludge and to meet the Class B requirements for pathogens and vector attraction.

There are 3 different PAD approaches depending on the thickening technology being employed. The PAD®-K system provides integrated operation with a Kubota® fl at plate membrane thickener, the PAD®-M system provides integrated operation with a mechanical thickener such as a gravity belt or drum thickener, and the PAD®-G system provides integrated operation with a gravity thickener tank. In addition to thickening, all of the approaches use two or more aerobic digesters to optimize performance while keeping capital and operational costs to a minimum.
