Semaphore Introduces New Capabilities In Kingfisher RTU Product Line

Lake Mary, FL--(Marketwire) - Semaphore, a CSE Global company, has announced the first shipments of new, enhanced Kingfisher SCADA firmware. The firmware brings advanced capabilities to all Kingfisher SCADA system RTU products.
Enhanced features of release 2285 include image capture in conjunction with an IP camera, network time protocol (NTP) client functionality, and support for more than 150,000 events. The image capture function allows for storage of video images in DNP3 file transfer space and forwarding using DNP3 file transfer protocol.
This firmware release also adds Secure DNP3 authentication for DNP3 master operations. Image capture and Secure DNP3 authentication represent a number of features in Semaphore's security initiative for its RTU product line. Those initiatives comprise cyber security and physical security functions to ensure security for the SCADA system, as well as the assets and processes it manages.
Semaphore's Kingfisher RTU line provides many advanced features for SCADA system solutions, including redundant configurations, intelligent I/O, and open programming that is compliant with IEC 61131-3 and IEC 61499. The contemporary Kingfisher product line includes the Kingfisher Plus and G30 models.
Kingfisher Plus is an advanced, modular RTU that offers expansion up to 1000 I/O points. The G30 is a compact RTU that extends the full capabilities of Semaphore's Kingfisher Plus product line to small SCADA system applications requiring up to 32 I/O points. Kingfisher RTU systems are well suited to large, demanding measurement and control applications.
Semaphore's RTU products are ideal for a broad range of monitoring and control applications in the broadcast / telecom, infrastructure management, oil & gas, power, transportation and water / wastewater industries.
