Leetsdale, PA — Schroeder Industries, a recognized leader in filtration and fluid conditioning products, will showcase its line of SC automatic self-cleaning filter at this year's ACE07 Expo, AWWA's Annual Conference & Exposition at the Metro Toronto Convention Center in Toronto, Ontario from June 24th-28th, 2007. The SC line is used to remove solid contamination from process fluids and to protect the integrity of high grade components that depend on low-viscosity, water or water based lubricants. The filter is ideal for applications where fluid flow cannot be interrupted and must be maintained at an acceptable cleanliness level.

The SC can achieve flow rates up to 33,000 gpm with ANSI flange sizes ranging from 2 to 36 inches. Superior removal of contamination particles is accomplished with slotted tube filter elements ranging from 50 to 3,000 microns and Super mesh Filter Elements with 25 to 40 microns. Due to the unique single-element cleaning process, the total filtered flow is not reduced during the cleaning process.

With its robust construction and virtually maintenance-free filtration, the SC line requires very little follow-up when properly sized. The filters are available in a range of sizes – from the smallest SC02 up to a high-capacity SC36.

The SC02 filter can handle up to 120 gallons per minute of water or low-viscosity fluids. The SC04 -SC08 can filter up to 1980 gallons each minute, while the SC10 - SC36 can take on 33,000 gallons of water a minute – which can equate to over 47 millions gallons per day (MGD).

Additional SC line advantages include low operating cost, consistent operation through high-quality, cleanable filtration, low pressure drop during cleaning, and high flow rate.

The SC line serves a variety of manufacturing and processing industries, including power generation, pulp and paper, marine, offshore, steel, wastewater treatment, thermal transfer, mining, chemical processing, industrial, machine tool, and automotive manufacturing.
