SCADA System And Water Leakage Management Software For MCWD's Water Distribution Network Helps Reduce Non-Revenue Water And Improve Stability Of Water Supply

1480733589_cebu-city The Metropolitan Cebu Water District (MCWD) in the Philippines has enhanced its water supply system through a project funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The MCWD installed a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system, engineered by Yokogawa Solution Service Corporation, enabling remote monitoring and control of its water supply. This has improved supply management and allowed prompt recovery of pump stations. Yokogawa also aided in establishing a water leakage management system, reducing non-revenue water (NRW) and thus increasing MCWD's financial profit by limiting water losses. The SCADA system has resulted in fewer customer complaints and increased efficiency for MCWD.
