Revitalizing Aging Utility Systems With Digital Solutions

Source: Xylem

Angela Godwin is joined by two new guests in this episode of Water Talk: Peter Kraft from Xylem and Monty Ledbetter from the City of Hot Springs. In this episode, Peter and Monty highlight Xylem's role in aiding utilities with digital transformation. The partnership between Xylem and the City of Hot Springs helped the system, which is 143 years old and serves a population of 92,000, manage non-revenue water due to aging infrastructure. The Hot Springs system transitioned to digital meters in 2011 with the Sensus AMI system. For a permanent, 24/7 monitoring solution, the City of Hot Springs turned to Xylem, and the partnership has helped them to successfully reduce NRW from 44% to about 24%.
