The RemediAid patented test kit, developed in conjunction with Shell Research, Ltd. is one of the most uniquely sensitive and quantitative TPH Kits on the market. The RemediAid Kit determines TPH across a wide range of soil types and petroleum products (including BTEX, PAH, diesel fuel, leaded and unleaded gasoline, weathered gasoline, Brent crude, and lubricating oil). CHEMetrics' patented self-filling ampoules minimize operator exposure to the reagents and dramatically reduce the volume of solvent needed for extraction, making RemediAid very safe and environmentally friendly. RemediAid is significantly faster than standard laboratory methods, allowing the user to process up to 25 tests per hour. The simplicity of the kit virtually eliminates delays between sampling and sample analysis. This kit is perfect for soil-remediation surveys, or wherever contamination is an issue.

EPA verification states: "During the demonstration the RemediAid kit exhibited the following desirable characteristics of a field TPH measurement device; (1) good accuracy, (2) good precision, (3) lack of sensitivity to interferents that are not petroleum hydrocarbons (PCE and 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene), (4) high sample throughput, (5) low measurement costs, and (6) ease of use. Despite some of the limitations observed during the demonstration, the findings collectively indicated the RemediAid kit is a reliable field measurement device for TPH in soil."
