Rectangular Separators

The McTighe line of rectangular separators can be used in above ground or vaulted applications. Rectangular units can be manufactured from stainless or carbon steel and can be coated for a wide variety of oil water separation needs.

CO model separators

The CO model separator has been designed and proven to produce 15 parts per million or less free oil in the influent under normal operating conditions.

The CO model separators provide efficient separation of free oils through increased separation surface area created by multiple corrugated parallel plates. The McTighe corrugated parallel plate arrangement greatly reduces the distance an oil droplet has to rise for effective removal. The sinusoidal flow path created by the plates also causes oil droplet collisions resulting in increased oil droplet size. Collisions create a greater buoyancy force, again reducing the time it takes for the oil droplet to rise to the top of the separator.

PCO model separators

The PCO model separator has been designed and proven to produce 10 parts per million or less free oil in the effluent under normal operating conditions.

The PCO model separators utilize the McTighe corrugated parallel plates as used in the CO model separators. In conjunction with the use of the parallel plates, the PCO model separators also incorporate the McTighe Petro Pak. The Petro Pak is a polypropylene coalescer, (made up of multiple layers of coalescing media), which is both oleophilic (oil attracting) and hydrphobic (water repelling) coalescer. The McTighe Petro Pak is an enhanced coalescer specifically designed to intercept oil droplets down to 20 microns in size.

SOLO-10

The McTighe SOLO-10 is a compact oil-water separator that is ideal for disposal of oil and other volatile or immiscible liquids and solids from wastewater. Due to its small size (less than 18 inches wide and 3 feet 7 inches long) it can be used in many applications where confined space is a problem. The sides and bottom of a standard unit are constructed of ¼ inch carbon steel, to allow partial burial. Interior and exterior coating are provided for extended equipment life.

The SOLO-10 unit has a 0 to 10 GPM continuous gravity flow rate and produces an effluent quality of 10 PPM free oil content.
