Pydro Raises Over €1 Million In Oversubscribed Pre-Series A Round To Scale Sensor-Enabled Water Monitoring Services

Rostock, Germany – Pydro, a provider of sensor-enabled services for real-time water monitoring, has raised over €1 million in an oversubscribed Pre-Series A funding round. The round was led by Connect the Drops, with participation from the European Innovation Council (EIC) Fund, Berlin Angel Fund, several business angels, and Pydro's founder and CEO, Mulundu Sichone, who personally reinvested to signal his strong commitment to the company’s vision and trajectory.
Pydro's patented technology integrates self-powered flow sensing with intelligent monitoring, enabling utilities to optimize operations, detect leaks and reduce water losses—without relying on batteries or external power. The result is a low-maintenance, scalable solution for data-driven water network management.
“This round brings together partners who understand the urgency and opportunity of transforming water infrastructure,” said Mulundu Sichone. “By investing personally, I’m putting even more skin in the game—doubling down on my conviction that the future of water management lies in autonomous, data-driven systems built for resilience and efficiency.”
The funds will be used to scale operations, support deployments, and accelerate integration with digital twin platforms across Europe.
