Pushing The Limits Of Instrumentation Technology

The issues and challenges in the water and wastewater industry are constantly evolving, so technology that is constantly evolving is required to meet those challenges. In this video, Jerry Stevens from Endress and Hauser talks about the company’s forward-looking approach to technology.

Endress and Hauser manufacture flow, level, pressure, temperature, and analysis devices. One of the biggest challenges for manufacturers of those core measurement devices is making sure they have the ability to capture and perform remote activities, explains Stevens in the video.

Stevens also discusses how remove capturing activities can lower operating costs.

“If this device went into an error condition, a traditional plant may have to go online and find an operating manual,” he says. “Today, we're actually giving a diagnostic event notification that's based on the remedy that has to be performed. We're talking about probably shrinking time by as much as 25 or 30 percent in reactive situations today,” he says in the video.
