Pulp and Paper Mill Increases Water Recovery With Reverse Osmosis

Source: Desalitech

Doubletree Paper Mills in Arizona expanded manufacturing operation in 2014. The paper mill purifies groundwater and recycles wastewater with reverse osmosis for use in its paper products processes. The new integrated water treatment system, supplied by Desalitech, increases its water production capacity to 400 gallons per minute, while drastically reducing wastewater production and energy use.

This new installation increases water recovery on their high-purity process water stream from 73% to 90%, while reducing the use of biocide by nearly 50%.
