Pressure Filtration System

Pressure Filtration System
Design features built into the MaxFil hazardous waste filtration system are designed to comply with EPA Method 1311
N/Aures built into the MaxFil hazardous waste filtration system are designed to comply with EPA Method 1311. The company claims that this system is the first pressure filtration device specifically designed to meet the demands of the toxicity characteristic leaching procedure (TCLP). No splitting of the sample extract is required due to the 2200ml capacity that allows the analyst to load the entire sample before filtration begins. Pressurization is achieved by use of an Ultimate quick connect, requiring no clamping. A liquid-filled gauge located on the top plate of the system monitors all pressures. When used with a regulator, filtration can be performed accurately and correctly without constant attention by the analyst, the company claims. Sample materials may be introduced either via the top plate or through the one in. diameter entry port. This entry port has a four-in. long knurled handle that enables any analyst to open and close the port without the use of tools. All wetted surfaces of the system can be Teflon coated to offer extra assurance that no leaching of metals will occur.
