PRELOAD Names The City Of Fort Worth's Finished Water Tank As Inaugural Concrete Decision Top Tank

After hundreds of votes were cast, City of Fort Worth, Texas’  Finished Water Tank takes top spot as PRELOAD’s 2016 Top Tank

PRELOAD LLC, the leader in prestressed concrete tank design and construction, has announced the City of Fort Worth’s Caylor Road 5.0 MG Finished Water Tank as the winner of the company’s inaugural Concrete Decision™ Award, making it PRELOAD’s Top Tank for 2016.

On behalf of Fort Worth and their award winning tank, PRELOAD will make a $3,000 donation to Water for People. Water For People’s stated Mission is “to promote the development of high-quality drinking water and sanitation services, accessible to all, and sustained by strong communities, businesses, and governments.” 

The donation will be made through the well-known Water Buffalos, a motorcycle group which supports clean water initiatives. In recognition of the winning tanks’ state, a second contribution to the Texas Water for People Section will be made by PRELOAD. Finally, to commemorate the teamwork on the project, the Fort Worth Tank will have a featured patch on the vests of the Water Buffalos as they ride across the United States promoting Water for People.

In total, more than a dozen tanks from across the United States were in the running for the inaugural PRELOAD Concrete Decision Award, which is a celebration of the communities and industries that are home to PRELOAD’s top tank projects.  The Fort Worth tank was designed and constructed using the latest in prestressed concrete tank technology, an AWWA D110, Type III Wire-wound Prestresssed Concrete tank with a precast concrete core wall and was selected as the winner after an open voting competition was held on PRELOAD’s website.
