Plant Case Study: Umatilla, OR WWTP

Source: WesTech Engineering, Inc.
This is a Plant Case Study about the operation of WesTech Engineering's OxyStream™ Biological Treatment Process at the Umatilla, OR Waste Water Treatment Plant.

Here is an extract from the case study: "We can get BOD's from 750 to 1200 mg/l from the TRCI," says Stensrud. The Two Rivers Correctional Institution operates a low water usage collection system. Therefore, the sewage from this facility remains highly concentrated.

The Umatilla WWTP consists of a fine screen with 1/8" openings, the WesTech OxySTREAMTM Biological System with two (2) 75 HP surface aerators, two (2) 50' secondary clarifiers, UV disinfection, and discharge to the Columbia River.
