Pentair Expands Solutions To Meet Growing Demand

Gary Witt, president of Pentair, and David Angelo, vice president of sales, discuss market recovery and disaster recovery, and how Pentair has responded to both.

Witt and Angelo share details on…

Pentair capabilities: “We serve all markets – industrial, agricultural, municipal, residential, and commercial – and we do it for all geographies around the world. We’ve officially completed a merger with the Tyco Flow Control Group. We’re excited about how it expands our global reach for complementary products. Whether it be their flow groups or thermal industry groups with us, basically it put us in a global leadership with regard to flow, filtration, and equipment protection.”

Technology and innovation: “I think that everyone is concerned about energy efficiency and water efficiency and how that plays as we move forward. The opportunity to take energy and pumps are always a strong use of energy and that is the key area where you will see new improvement and new concepts.”

Moving water: “Over the last few years we’ve been very active in providing pumps, post-Katrina, with regard to working with flood control. A number of pumps were involved and active as Isaac came through. Each pump was capable of pumping 750,000 gallons of water a minute. When all 11 pumps were pumping, it was a little over 8 million gallons/minute, or the equivalent of the water coming over Niagara Falls on the American side.”
