Thermo Scientific Orion Ammonia Solutions

The ionic strength adjusters are used for analysis with an ion selective electrode (ISE). The ionic strength adjuster is added to all samples and standards to create a uniform background ionic strength, which provides more accurate and reproducible ISE measurements.

Special reagents are required for use with some ion selective electrodes. For more information on ionic strength adjusters and special reagents, refer to the ion selective electrode user guide.

The ammonia ISA (951211) is a ready-made pH/ionic strength adjustor solution that adjusts the pH of standards and samples used in ammonia measurements. It contains a pH-indicating blue dye for instant verification of the correct solution pH, eliminating the need for pH measurements. Improve the accuracy of your results - the solution prevents complexation of ammonia and inhibits formation of metal hydroxides allowing determination of total ammonia in the sample.

The NEW low level ammonia ISA (951210) adjusts the pH and ionic strength of ammonia standards and samples for the most accurate low level ammonia measurements. The solution contains a pH-indicating blue dye and is specially formulated for measurements of ammonia samples with a concentration of 10 ppm or less that do not contain metal interferences.

The NEW ammonia electrode storage solution (951213) is recommended for storing the assembled ammonia electrode between sample measurements, overnight and up to one week. Ensure that your ammonia electrode will work properly and be ready to take accurate, stable readings by using the optimum solution for its storage.

All ionic strength adjusters and special reagents are packaged as a one 475 mL (1 pint) bottle, except Cat. No. 941709 is packaged as two 475 mL bottles, Cat. No. 941609 is packaged as four 475 mL bottles, Cat. No. 940909 is packaged as a one 1 gallon bottle and Cat. No. 940999 is packaged as four 1 gallon bottles.
