NORAM Engineering and Constructors Ltd. is a technology and engineering firm based in Vancouver, Canada. It specializes in development, commercialization and supply of leading-edge technologies to the environmental, chemical, plastics, and resources industries.

NORAM offers two Biological Treatment Processes, VERTREAT and VERTAD. The VERTREAT treatment system is a high rate aerobic activated sludge process, and is suitable for treating any biodegradable wastewater streams to a high quality effluent. These include municipal, chemical, and industrial waste streams. The VERTAD is a highly efficient aerobic thermophilic sludge digestion process, and is suitable for digesting municipal primary and secondary sludges to exceptional quality Class A Biosolids.

The VERTREAT and VERTAD processes use underground hyperbaric aeration reactors to achieve the following advantages over competing processes:

• Low Space Requirement: uses 10-20% of the land required by conventional processes.

• Low Visual Impact: all equipment can be economically enclosed in a building.

• High Oxygen Transfer: results in highly efficient wastewater treatment or sludge digestion.

• Competitive Cost: operating costs are substantially lower and capital costs are similar to competing processes.

These proprietary technologies are typically sold in the form of equipment and engineering packages which are implemented by the end-users' engineering and contractors.
